La Josephine is an historic cottage, renovated to a high standard, situated in the heart of Parcay Les Pins. Next door was formerly the village café and is now the home of the owner of this delightful property.

A stay at ‘La Josephine’ will provide you with a very comfortable base to visit the Chateaux of the Loire, the historic towns of Langeais, Saumur and Chinon, and the many local vineyards and excellent restaurants. For the physically active there are forest tracks for walking and cycling, horse riding, tennis and several lakes for swimming. Those who prefer, can relax and picnic by the lake, bird watch at the nearby nature reserve.

For the keen enthusiast we are just 45 minutes from the Le Mans 24 hour circuit.

You can also relax, on the pretty outside terrace which has a BBQ, table and chairs, with a good glass of wine and an  ‘al fresco’ meal.  Only a short walk away is the local cafe/bar, which provides good and reasonable meals, a boulangerie and a small grocery store for daily requirements and newspapers.

In the village is the Jules Desbois Museum, where you can see some fine examples of the work of this locally born sculptor and contemporary of Rodin.
